This Civil War cased "Sixth Plate" (2. 75 x 3. 25 inch) tintype portrait shows an unidentified soldier. He wears a bummer hat or kepi and a standard nine button frock coat of northern Federal or Union issue with a US Belt & a cap pouch. He is holding a Percussion cap rifle, and is seated up against a tree outside.
